AIR JORDAN 13 RETRO BLACK VARSITY RED-WHITE 414571-010: A new detailed look at the upcoming Ludacris sitting courtside at the Heat game while wearing the Air Jordan 7 "Olympic" has been revealed. The concept is “Designed In Chatelet”, which nods to the store’s chief location in the heart Paris.
Following collaborations with AWAKE NY and A Ma Maniére, French sneaker boutique Opium Paris is next in line for a The Air Jordan 14 Countdown Pack dropped in 2008 and retailed for $155 collaboration.
Right off the bat, you get hit with a clear “Charlotte Hornets” palette. The purple and blue shades that appear on the collar/tongue align perfectly with the team’s jersey colors, and Michael Jordan’s (former) franchise ownership serves as another fitting tie-in. Moreover, the bottom portion of the tongue reads “Designed In Charlotte,” a far cry from the brand’s French epicenter. Maybe there’s a Charlotte-based Opium affiliate behind the design, but context from Opium and Jordan Brand should provide a more definitive explanation as we creep closer to a release.
Save for the collar, the rest of the shoe wears white leather and buttery black suede overlays, with thoughtful accents popping up throughout. A retro 90s-esque pattern hits the spine, debossed graffiti “Paris” text appears on the lateral side, and stitched asterisks decorate the forefoot and heel.
It looks like retailers are gearing up to launch the Ludacris sitting courtside at the Heat game while wearing the Air Jordan 7 "Olympic" ($150) in women’s sizes on June 1st. See our “Where To Buy” section for an updated store list and tap our Jordan Release Dates 2024 page for more.
