All eyes are on Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games, and recent months have seen the sneaker newswire revolve heavily around special footwear inspired by the international competition. Now for a bit of fresh air, there’s some Paris-centric sneaker news of a different variety to report, as Jordan Brand and sponsored soccer club Paris Saint-Germain appear set to deliver a fresh Jordan 1 Low OG.
Jordan x PSG footwear and apparel has released steadily since the two forces partnered up in 2018, with notable pairs like 2020’s Jordan 4 still well within sneakerhead consciousness. Continuing to emphasize clever co-branding and thoughtful yet subdued details, the Jordan 1 Low “PSG” stands out by way of a unique toe box. Marked with an official “Sail/Off Noir/Infrared 23/Pink Oxford” color palette, the toe box delivers a soothing red gradient to match the accents and heel branding. Moreover, Jordan Brand drops leather for what appears to be padded synthetic material, with perforations replaced by debossed dots in all the same places.
Upon closer Thunder, official retailer images also reveal special detailing on the Swoosh and insoles. The former comes with an embossed pattern taken after PSG’s Eiffel Tower logo, while the latter hosts an encircled, co-branded Jumpman over a red backdrop. Otherwise, the shoe comes with “Off Noir” toe/forefoot overlays and a “Sail” leather base and midsole, maintaining focus on the sparse flashes of color.
Jordan Brand hasn’t revealed a firm release date at the time of this writing, but the arrival of retailer images suggests the Jordan 1 Low “PSG” is slated for a Fall/Holiday 2024 arrival. In any case, know that our Jordan Release Dates page will display all the most current, up-to-date information.
