Eyes are first drawn to the base of the shoe, which appears to be crafted out of a ballistic blue textile in a potential nod to the carbon fiber exteriors of high-octane vehicles. The laces and insoles, however, leave less open to interpretation. Both feature checkerboard patterns taken after finish lines, with black/teal on the laces and a traditional black/white mix inside, the latter of which boasts unique racing-inspired “23” branding.
