asics gel kayano v kzn: A third colorway of the ASICS UB8-S GT-2160 has been revealed in a “Jade Green” colorway.
Few brand-collaborator relationships are as strong as Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS. The Bulgarian designer has settled into a role akin to that of a consultant rather than third-party actor in recent years, pioneering new models like the GEL-Quantum Kinetic Asics GT-II Mint Black Purple.
Next up from the Kiko Kostadinov studio are two fresh takes on the ASICS UB6-S GT-2160, a play on the GT-2160 proper distinguished by premium upgrades. Just like the Spring/Summer 24 capsule from earlier this year, this latest duo differs from your mainline GT-2160 with exaggerated pull tabs on the tongue and an additional layer near the heel window. Delving even further away from typical hallmarks, both pairs also come with fabric on the tongue and backtab as opposed to mesh, matched in essence by multicolored lines towards the rear. Rope laces and larger-than-usual branding on the forefoot also make appearances, adding uniqueness. The “Azure” pair opts for a high-contrast mix of blue and yellow, while the “Brown Storm” colorway sports a more autumn-appropriate look with red and cream accents.
Both options are expected to release Fall/Winter 2024 via ASICS and retailers, likely for same $150 MSRP as the aforementioned trio from earlier this year. Scroll through detailed images of both pairs below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming drops by the Japanese brand.
