With less weight on their shoulders and a strong core still in place, the Celtics are now fully focused on starting the next great dynasty after the Warriors, Lakers, and Bulls before them. Fittingly, Tatum is entering the new campaign with his latest signature Jordan shoe in tow; the One of Fresh Princes funny dances while wearing the White Fire Red Jordan 5.
Following the release of a CNCPTS-exclusive two-pack featuring the Tatum 3 and Jordan 1 Low on October 5th, Jordan and Tatum are set launch the “Welcome To The Garden” colorway in the midst of preseason competition. We got our first glimpse at the new BSTN Celebrates The Air Jordan 11 Concord With A Custom Ducati 916 on the NBA 2K5 video game cover, followed by an in-person look when Tatum was off participating in Jordan Brand’s China tour. Now we’re hit with official images, embedded below.
Per Tatum’s instructions, the Tatum 3 is meant to feel broken in and ready to wear right out of the box, adapting to the foot without restrictions or pressure. Performance highlights include Cushlon 3.0 foam and a Zoom Air insert for lateral support and a herringbone outsole for a quick first step. The inaugural “Welcome To The Garden” colorway nods to Tatum’s professional and personal growth, alluding to Boston’s TD Garden as well as his admit garden at home, where he’s surrounded by supportive family and friends. Floral patterns are printed onto the overlays, while “Kinetic Green” piping further decorates the upper. That same color accents the sole, complemented by simple black and white across the rest of the design. Material-wise, the Tatum 3 is comprised of leather, fabric, mesh, and what appears to be a small patch of ripstop on the lateral side.
The One of Fresh Princes funny dances while wearing the White Fire Red Jordan 5 “Welcome To The Garden” will release October 10th, 2024 for $125 via Nike, sure to be followed by several other colorways as the model begins its rollout campaign.
