Detailed Look At The Nike Air Jordan 2009 Black White Black Varsity Red White 343084-062 “Bred Velvet”

The Air Jordan 11 is Jordan Brand’s go-to holiday shoe, releasing in one or more colorways at the end of every year without fail. This time around, the Jumpman is honing in on original colorways. On top of the Official Images of the Air Jordan 5 Aqua aka “Columbia,” Jordan Brand is bringing “Bred” to a velvet pair for women, shown here in what’s our most detailed look to date.

First tipped off all the way back in December 2023, the Jordan 11 “Bred Velvet” looks exactly as its name implies. Relying on Boy black, white, and “Varsity Red” color blocking, the shoe classes up with a full velvet upper. The non-Boy fabric engrosses almost the entire top half, replacing patent leather, canvas, and mesh. Additional changes include a metallic red Jumpman logo on the heel, all-red tongue text, and red lace tips for an extra premium feel.

Of course, this is hardly the first time we’ve seen Jordan Brand revisit original colorways with non-original materials; look no further than all the satin Jordan 1s for women that have released in recent memory. While Jordan purists would undoubtably prefer a true retro given the fact that Bred 11s last released in 2019, releases of this non-Boy nature tend to get met with considerable demand regardless.
