Nike Celebrates The Year Of The Snake On The Dunk Low

The Lunar New Year has been a Nike touchpoint for decades, dating all the way back to 2002 and expanding exponentially with broad, annual collections of zodiac-inspired lifestyle size since 2007. Although we’ve still got big holidays ahead of us, we’re already starting to unpack the Beaverton brand’s “Year Of The Snake” lineup for Spring 2025. Following the Nike SB Alleyoop "Bright Cactus" Coming Soon and What Is The Nike Zoom Vomero 5, the Dunk Low GS just surface in serpentine-inspired makeup.

Light green overlays a white base set the stage, complemented by a white midsole and gum outsole underfoot. The shoe’s most glaring “Year Of The Snake” embrace appears on the tongue and insoles, neither of which feature playful “Just Do It” branding with snake graphics cleverly factored into the text. Additionally, there’s also a tongue-like piece of red fabric jutting out fro the bottom of the tongue tag. Quilted Camo satin lining delivers another snake-inspired tie, mimicking the texture of the zodiac animal, and a traditional red Wanzi knot is included for good measure. Capping off the delivery with minor touches, Nike brings a silver quarter Swoosh with red accent stitching and a gold mini Swoosh on the lateral toe.

The “Year Of The Snake” begins on January 29th of next year, so we can confidently project this grade school Dunk Low to release around that time. Enjoy official images below and stick with us while we continue to unpack Nike’s annual Lunar New Year collection.
