In recent press surrounding his relationship with PUMA, A$AP Rocky promised that its scope would only increase as the partnership went on, eventually aiming at creating a proper F1 uniform for the masses. The German brand just announced their latest project together, and it appears his vision is shaping up.
Much like his first two editions corresponding with each other, the two fresh PUMA Inhale styles on display here exist atop the same black base. A distressed version sports the same “dirtied” edges injects a new yellow and blue accent scheme in the trim, culminating with both shades fusing on the translucent outsole. Also notable is PUMA foregrounding this as the “PUMA Inhale Neoprene,” seemingly aimed at a sturdier build to match its pre-distressed aesthetic.
That stands in direct contrast to the more traditional composition of the PUMA Inhale Mesh, relying on hi-vis neon green detailing throughout its profile for a more straightforward colorway. Fire red is used in the margins here, overtaking the traction lugs underfoot and the “FLACKO” logo on the heel. Either pair closes out with the requisite dose of co-branding, highlighted by a two-piece PUMA/A$AP shoebox.
While the shoes are certainly first and foremost for our purposes, we can’t forget Flacko’s position as creative director of PUMA’s F1 division. The timing on that end is fortuitous, with the end of the 2024 season beginning to take shape as this capsule drops, landing square between the Brazilian and Las Vegas Grands Prix.
Both colorways of the ASAP Rocky PUMA Inhale release on November 7th via PUMA.com, each retailing for $120. Additionally, a corresponding colorway of the 3D-printed Mostro will drop that same day, arriving alongside a full co-branded apparel collection.
