Corteiz rules the world, or at the very least, the holiday season. After delivering a trio of Nike Leading up to Air Max Day styles in 2023 that catapulted towards the top of “sneaker of the year” lists, Clint Ogbenna is set to Nike Air Max 1 SP x Kasina Won-Ang Orange. Now, we’re getting confirmation that the brand is traveling into new territory in addition. Initial images of the Corteiz Nike Air Max Up low-top sneakers Verde just emerged via his Instagram.
Posted to his “close friends” story, the shoe confirms one third of the information Complex’s Brendan Dunne shared last year, where leaked catalog images teased the layout of three Air Trainer Huarache pairs set for Holiday ’24. One is pictured here, a tonal treatment of “Flat Pewter” suede painting the Air Trainer Huarache. Camo patterns drape the inner bootie section before a gum sole closes out the bulk of the design underfoot.
Of course, there’s room for plenty of co-branding details. The Huarache logo sports “Air Huarache By CRTZ” text while their logo appears on the midfoot strap. The typical Nike Air heel tab is modified to plant “RTW” type below the traditional Nike Air, and perhaps the most notable detail, the Corteiz “C” logo is planted on the mudguard, neighboring a toe-box whose perpherations are remodeled to show a Swoosh.
As of writing, concrete release details are unclear, but these are widely expected to arrive before the end of 2024. A retail price of $210 is confirmed. While no hard details regarding a release for the black and white counterparts have emerged so far, note that Ogbenna grabs this pair from a package containing two other boxes. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for additional info as it comes about.
