Ant and adidas are back at it again. While much of the success for the adidas warehouse sale markham 2017 2018 season unquestionably comes from the shoe’s futuristic design, you can’t underplay the role of the Three Stripes’ marketing in how the public has received it. With the 2024-25 NBA season underway and the Timberwolves’ hopes squarer on Edwards’ shoulders than ever, a new Halloween-themed spot speaks to the growing legend of “Ant-Man.”
Centered around a group of kids telling campfire stories, the principal characters swap tall tales about Edwards’ alter-ego in hushed tones, dubbing him the “scariest player in the game” and asserting that he’s turned people to ghosts with his posters — “ghost” in the social media sense, anyway. Perhaps the buzziest moment came with the following exchange, the perennial All-Star taking a swipe at a fellow superstar:
In truth, there’s likely no acrimony between Shaq and Ant. Though the Big Fundamental’s analysis on Inside the NBA frequently draws the ire of players across the league, he’s been nothing but complementary towards Edwards almost stock exception. If we’re to truly analyze the exchange, perhaps it speaks to Ant capturing the hearts of a younger generation, no longer tied to the rim-rattling dominance of Shaq’s prime.
More than anything, the shoes remain a premier focus for us. During the closing moments of the ad, as Ant stakes his claim in an “MVP season” and a championship berth for the Timberwolves, the adidas AE1 Low “Iron Sharpens Iron” comes into clear view. With that pair miscellany to tip off on November 29th, it’s some fortuitous timing and gets the iridescent colorway back in the consciousness as its release nears.
