Tyler, The Creator’s a version of the Chuck 70 “Darryl” Appears In Five New Colorways

Things keep coming up Tyler, The Creator. Just notching two weeks atop the Billboard 200 for “CHROMAKOPIA,” he’s continuing to apply pressure in our corner of the world, further building on a rock-steady relationship with Converse. To that end, he notched Converse Chuck 70 dedicated to the chart-topping LP, but it’s his luxury-minded apparel brand in focus today. After an initial capsule that brought Golf Le Fleur’s Darryl the Dog mascot to the Chuck 70 Low, the California native is circling back for another five colorways.

Though his new album era has been centered entirely around grayscale imagery, his footwear work continues to explore the pastel notes that have been associated with his clothing brand(s) since their inception. Here,” Cooling Oasis” light blue, “Apricot Cream” orange, “Rose Quartz” pink, “Salsa” red and “On The Greens” are on offer, each sporting the same collaborative touches that defined the first collection.

Namely, you get two sets of oversized laces, the titular Darryl The Dog at the heel, an off-white midsole, and a light blue outsole, replete with a printed bellhop graphic a la “CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST” on the traction underfoot. Note that the “Salsa” is the only one of the crop that we’ve seen before, factoring into the six-part release of the first capsule.
