The adidas Superstar Puts On Shell-Gloves In This Collaboration With AVAVAV

Florence-based fashion brand AVAVAV is no stranger to viral moments, consistently headlining runway shows through elaborate concepts, surprise brand activations, and footwear and apparel that’s wonderfully wacky. Beate Karlsson’s imprint debuted its inaugural adidas capsule at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, dominating headlines with a subversive track and field collection. For our purposes, the highlight was an adidas Superstar featuring a “Fingertoes” attachment piece.

Much like what we’ve come to expect from brands like MSCHF and Bravest, the AVAVAV Superstar comes as a total outside-the-box re-imagination, incorporating brand’s signature four fingers into an attachable piece that rests over the forefoot (it also doubles as a handbag).

Two colorways are on tap; one in cream with red accents and another in black/cream. Both looks feature leather uppers, debossed “SUPERSTAR” text along the quarter stripes, and adidas x AVAVAV co-branding on the tongue and heel.

Both AVAVAV Superstars, as well as a collection of equally playful AVAVAV x adidas accessories and apparel, release via adidas CONFIRMED on November 21st, 2024.
