There’s no denying there’s a renewed inactivity around PUMA in their newest chapter: the younger demo dominance of PUMA x Helly Hansen Hoodies, enlisting Salehe Bembury to head up their Hoops division and recruiting Tyrese Haliburton shortly after, the continuing success of their artist collabs. The latter is particularly informative for the story at hand — A$AP Rocky has helped kick off a new run for the PUMA Inhale with his distressed collaborations, and the German giant is maintaining the silhouette’s momentum with the “Color Shift” pack.
The metallic hues create a two-tone split with the black foundation on either edition, the top notes swapping between eggplant and cobalt shades across shimmering leather. While it still aligns with the Y2K sensibilities of the model as a whole, first introduced on the cusp of the century, it attacks that from a different angle, swapping out the mesh construction we’ve seen on the first handful of mainline releases. Additionally, the resplendent finish atop both of these evokes the past work of one of their other signees, Skepta, already referenced with their first official collab release.
As mentioned above, the PUMA Inhale “Color Shift” pack will be released on December 1st, each retailing at $130. Keep an eye on our Sneaker Release Dates page for additional updates and direct shopping links upon release.
