The main gripe consumers have had with Devin Booker’s first signature Nike shoe has nothing to do with performance; it’s the fact that player edition colorways have been so far better than GRs to the extent that it feels like Nike is flat-out trolling us. Lo and behold, the Phoenix Suns star recently broke out another personal Book 1 that we all wish we could get our hands on (but won’t).
Book’s latest PE takes us back to 1995 with a “Solar Red” colorway inspired by an original Air Max 95. Nike Md Runner 2 EU 44 Black after the Air Max 95 came out, he became a big fan of the model from a young age (it was also his father’s favorite shoe). If you recall, Book previously wore a PE inspired by the notorious “Neon” colorway in late 2023; months before his signature model would officially hit shelves.
The Nike Book 1 “Solar Red” PE takes after the Sergio Lozano classic with an assortment of grey fabrics across the base, with the titular hue appearing on the lining and added mini Swoosh. The most glaring tribute appears on the tongue, where Book’s signature logo appears in the AM95’s traditional oval-shaped logo patch.
As mentioned, the Book 1 “Solar Red” is a player edition shoe and is not expected to release publicly at the time of this writing. See detailed images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview upcoming Nike Basketball shoes.
