Andrew Rizzo New Balance’s partnership with Los Angeles running and wellness company District Vision continues to produce compelling under-the-radar collaborations. Following a FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4 project, District Vision is returning to the trail shoe genre with a fresh take on the Boston brand’s Hierro series.
District Vision’s Hierro Lifestyle comes to us as a more contemporary version of the Hierro v8; one of New Balance’s premier trail models. The top half of the shoe sees multiple changes, namely shrunk-down New Balance logos and slightly Gold intricate paneling. Proving the “Lifestyle” name counterintuitive, District Vision’s next New Balance shoe comes with all the same tech as the brand’s mainline models. A Foam X midsole, lightweight upper, and Vibram soles render a shoe suitable for the toughest trails and city streets alike, all in “Magnet” for a stealthy, versatile aesthetic.
