You won’t find many promo blitzes out of Nike Attack as attention-grabbing as the one they launched for the Mac Attack. Giving birth to one of the more iconic press images in recent memory, a shot of tennis legend John McEnroe back-to-back with Travis Scott, the effort was one of a few splashy initiatives the Swoosh unleashed to help the model’s retro run in 2023. Jump a year later, and it’s been extremely quiet for the shoe relative to those heights, with under a dozen general release colorways hitting the public. Perhaps 2025 will be a more eventful year, a proposition helped by the emergence of the nike roshe run grey flower print designs for women “Year of the Snake.”
With the vintage tennis model capitalizing on simplified palletes so far in its time back on shelves, it shouldn’t be too much of a shock that despite the special occasion, refined style still stands at the forefront. Much of the shoe’s real estate its taken up by pure white leather, the only for of color coming at the heel cup. There, snakeskin materials are graced by vibrant notes of teal and peach, curiously two hues that are otherwise unrepresented in the largely Nike “Year of the Snake” 2025 capsule. Nonetheless, the pops of sprightly energy in the margins allow this colorway to rise above the more tonal fare we’ve seen from the Mac Attack before, perhaps a welcome sign as the silhouette enters its third year back on shelves.
The full “Year of the Snake” collection is likely dropping in close proximity to one another, projected to come about in late January / early Februray. While specific retail pricing for this shoe hasn’t been announced, expect something in the $120 range.
