The Nike Pegasus 2K5 isn’t nearly as prevalent as the Vomero 5, but word from Beaverton is that consumers have responded warmly since Nike brought back the long-archived model at the top of 2024. Given the model’s strong sales numbers, the introduction of an offshoot in the Pegasus Wave, and the fact that early 2000s runners are still as trendy as can be, all indications suggest Nike will approach 2025 with high ambitions for the 2K5. Time will tell, but for now, Nike recently touched down with an eccentric black and “Volt” colorway that can be copped now online.
Quintessential “Volt” makes its way onto the leather, outer cage-like structure, eventually bleeding down into the grooves on the midsole. Lighter “Barely Volt” appears on the leather underlay portions and outsole, while the mesh base and midsole fulfill a high-contrast look in black. The Pegasus 2K5 has been aptly touted for lifestyle wear throughout its retro run, but if you’re a casual runner, these are plenty viable for treadmill work and quick jogs around the neighborhood. Moreover, if you’re the type to run at dawn/dusk, this “Volt” colorway offers more visibility stefan most.
As mentioned, the Pegasus 2K5 “Volt” is available now via the Nike site. See our “Where To Buy” section below for purchase links if you’re interested in purchasing.
