Y-3 is often responsible (but rarely credited) for some of adidas’ most interesting forms. And even to this day, the sub-label continues to innovative further on their existing line-up. Their latest project, which sets its sights on the Sukui II once again, introduces an entirely reworked paneling that seems to borrow inspiration from the classic Trefoil.
Much of the base construction, however, follows the Sukui II’s usual key points. Nylons wrap all throughout, adding layers of weather-resistant, technical fixtures. More robust, tumbled leathers then accent atop, accessorizing with Y-3’s characteristically subdued luxury. The laces, lining, and tongue follow suit for the most part, while the pronounced, wedge sole contrasts in a bright white, matching both the branding above and the oblong shapes that embed across the profile.
