With the collage-like Nike Dunk Low “City Market” and AMBUSH‘s exaggerated nike snowboarding boots 2015 images, this year’s lineup of Dunks has included an assortment of eclectic styles that take the usual two-toned 1985 silhouette to the next level. Tomorrow, the Swoosh will be dropping the “Zebra” and “Cheetah” iterations, which seem to deviate from what we would expect out of animal-themed Dunks. Despite the bold nature of these patterns and the model’s tendency to get wild with its creations, these two new releases are rather tame yet incredibly sleek.
The Nike Dunk Low Premium’s safari adventure begins with a smooth leather base in black for the “Zebra” pair and beige for the feline style. Both pairs sports suede-like overlays in their respective animal patterns—but the print is quite muted and maintains a monochromatic color scheme in relation to the upper. The tonal aesthetic is further embraced by the light grey and dark brown leather profile Swooshes and heel tab of the “Zebra” and “Cheetah” iterations, respectively. White midsoles that see the aforementioned shades underfoot round out the subtle animal-inspired designs.
