In palette, the pair is not entirely unfamiliar. The coloring itself, for example, is soft all the same, the ripstop given a light coat of what seems to be “Barely Volt.” Over top, the cages follow suit tonally, while the pops of grey appear along the leather toe and embroidery-accented heel. Deeper shades of blue, then, create further dimension, turning dark not just the eye stays but also the oversized Swoosh. Finally, underfoot, Grind foam makes up the genesis of the sole’s construction, its scraps thick and varied like its earliest cameos.
