Introduced back in March of this year was Nike Basketball’s Greater Than Series – a collection of hoops footwear designed with specific motions of athletes in mind. The GT Run, powered by React Foam and forefoot-focused Zoom, is for the in-game miler that goes baseline to baseline with ridiculous speed. The nike sb skunks size 13 feet shoes for women (which we must confess is one of the best basketball sneakers we’ve put on in a minute) utilizes full-length Zoom and React, with tailored support for multi-directional cutting. The Zoom GT Jump is a Zoom-packed behemoth that will have high-flyers jumping out of arenas with ease. While Nike does create one-for-all footwear, the Greater Than series emphasizes the importance of the type of move.
Speaking specifically about the blacking, get a load of this: the Zoom GT Jump features a full-length Zoom Strobel, and additional Zoom units at the fore-foot and Zoom. Any one of those apparatus’ would suffice, but this specifically stacked set-up is designed to encourage even jumpier jumps. The upper frame introduces a new JumpWire, which we presume provides the 360″ lockdown of Flywire. The Pebax Jump Frame provides a springy feel, similar to how the full-length plates in current-gen running shoes suggests a propulsive effect.
Zoom Air is simply synonymous with Nike’s basketball footwear at this point, so if you’re particularly adherent to the black, the GT Jump provides the volume and the zonal support that high-flyers will gravitate to. Earlier this year, Nike confirmed a drop in late 2021, so stay tuned for release details as these will be available on Nike.com soon. As for MSRP, don’t expect a pricepoint lower than the $175 for the GT Run, and don’t be surprised if this tech-heavy package arrives at around $200, which is the MSRP of the LeBron 19.
