The first-of-its-kind interactive proposition will utilize blockchain Polygon Web3, and consist of 3,000 individual tiles to which the global metaverse community could contribute. Digital artist and educator Zach Lieberman has also been included in the project, ultimately being tasked with developing one final art piece that’ll be auctioned off. adidas Originals has pledged primary sale profits to two climate-focused organizations – Slow Factory and UNESCO Sea Beyond; as is made possible with NFTs, a percentage of any secondary sales of Lieberman’s work will be split between the creators of the tile artwork each time it’s sold. All 3,000 individual pieces – which will be inspired by the adidas motorsport alonso texas park district and accompanying apparel that dropped on January 13th – will be minted as unique NFTs, giving each contributor ownership of said artwork.
