Just like the rest of the year’s holidays, Earth Day is coming up fast; and when they greet it this April, Nike will have plenty of offerings prepared. Among them, the Nike Air Max 95 inches ahead of the pack, revealing a colorway that’s as sustainable as it is replete with earth tones.
Surprisingly, the Circular Design logo is nowhere to be found. Instead, the tongue is chainstitched from top to bottom, its green threads ringing in Earth Day with a floral motif. Elsewhere, the laces are made to resemble ropes and the overlays along the side a thick netting, both of which add a subtle upcycled feel to the shoe. These are then bolstered by the paneling downwards, whose distressed, somewhat faded surfaces are likely because of the recycling process they ostensibly went through.
