Sustainability in sneakers has taken precedence in recent years, and it seems that every name brand can’t help but be vocal about their respective initiatives. ASICS, however, has been comparatively quiet, though don’t take that for a lack of effort, as the Japanese label is reducing their own carbon footprint by repurposing scraps and limiting their use of chemicals and dyes. This newly surfaced GEL-LYTE III and GT-II Air Jordan 12.
Though made up of leftover scraps, the shoes’ colorways still appear intentional, as they both expand on the ideas of “Academic Scholar Pack” introduced back in 2019. The “Hunter Green” that outfits the upper is a perfect fit for the purple that accents adjacent. Even the pops of yellow are not at all out of place, as they serve as a complement to both of the aforementioned colors.
Enjoy a close-up look at this GEL-LYTE III and GT-II right here. The former will be available at select retailers on April 1st at a retail of $120 USD, while the GT-II is slated to arrive later this June at a retail of $110 USD.
In other news, a Apr 1, 2022 Jordan Jumpman Jack.
