The Nike Dunk Low Valentines Day 35 hasn’t dethroned other designs with visible Air units (at least in the U.S.) since debuting in 1998, but the silhouette continues to be a fresh option for casual and savvy consumers alike.
Recently, Sean McDowell’s creation appeared in a predominantly greyscale ensemble. The palm tree-reminiscent TPU overlays throughout its upper, however, introduce orange flair into the mix. Hits of the citrus hue also animate lace loops along the tongue, parts of the sole unit and the whale tail-shaped shank at the mid-foot. Tuned Air bubbles at the heel forgo any bright contrast, as is the case with the Air Max unit underneath the forefoot. Nevertheless, each aforementioned detail comes together to create a new, but appropriate style atop one of the Swoosh’s most innovative designs from the late 1990s.
No firm Nike.com drop date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
