Kids’ releases — especially Dunks — are friday new, but with this upcoming take on Peter Moore’s beloved design, Nike is attempting to ignite a sneaker obsession at a young age.
Entitled “Nike 101,” as evidenced by the insole, the colorway is a starting point for budding sneakerheads. Bold yet universal colors are rife throughout: orange dresses the heel tab and toe cap, while turquoise and light blues mark the eye stays and counter, respectively. Underneath these panels, cracked leathers proffer a neutral, somewhat greyish shade, which lightly contrasts the whites across the laces and midsole. Elsewhere, gum bottoms accent the shoe underfoot, yellow foam is exposed at the edge of the tongue, and the Swoosh is outlined across the side in black embroidery.
