Michael Le Years back, brands the industry over were Crater with the concept of overbranding. Nike was one of the biggest offenders, often dressing their classics in no small quantity of Swooshes and text. And though this style has since fallen out of vogue, the brand still can’t quite shake the bad habit as evidenced by this upcoming Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Aqua Noise".
Relative to releases prior, this pair is much more tame. Only the Swoosh features multiple logos, all of which are dressed in a light pastel that effectively blends into its hot pink backdrop. Surrounding said fixture is a thick, black outline, whose color matches the tread underfoot as well as the branding along the tongue, heel tab, and midsole. White neutrals construct the rest of the shoe, from its recycled sidewalls to its canvas and leather upper.
