Following its raucous revival in 2020, the Nike Dunk has continued to maintain its gripping hold over the industry thanks to the SB tooled silhouette’s slate of unlikely collaborative works and hard-to-come-by propositions, from Huff’s multitude of offerings to the upcoming Jarritos team-up. Having been reserved near exclusively throughout 2022 for the hands of outside influencers, the model is set to enjoy an increased run of inline efforts, with first looks now surfacing of a “Wheat Toe” iteration.
Mirroring the split aesthetic of the silhouette’s Supreme collaboration from 2019, the forefoot’s vamp, mudguard and initial overlay indulge in a supple suede texture while the latter half of the model further harkens premium tooling by way of a tightly knit jacquard mesh. Coating the initial embellishments in tandem with the embossed tongue tab in a vibrant wash of caramel, seldom beautiful blue stitching accents the navy laces while presenting a quiet transition into the back half of the model’s clad dark blue composition. Starkly contrasting the upper by curing its sole unit in an Off-White shade, clay-colored insoles proffer an insignia picturing a roadblock being repaired with a Nike SB bonding agent, rounding out the pair’s construction-like influence.
While we sit tight on further release details, enjoy a first look at the upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low “Wheat Toe” below in the meantime.
