Michael Le One of the most sought after releases from the early aughts, the “Shima Shima” collection — which was comprised of an Jordan Flyknit Elevation 23 Cargo Khaki, Air Trainer 1, and Dunk High — made its debut just two decades ago. And after jogging our memories with the return of said Air Trainer 1 this past October, Nike is ready to further celebrate these Japanese-inspired offerings, ushering in a new colorway of the Jordan Flyknit Elevation 23 Cargo Khaki right in time for the pack’s 20th Anniversary.
Though distinct from its predecessor in color blocking, the 2023 Nike Jordan Flyknit Elevation 23 Cargo Khaki “Shima Shima” still incorporates many of the details signature to the pack. The colorway itself, though primarily clad in neutrals, echoes some of the same earth obj, with deep browns applied to the model’s mudguard, Swoosh, laces, and eyelets. Direct references to the original are even present in the Japanese text and striped pattern applied to the lining and tongue label, respectively.
