The sustainability of sneakers, an industry rife with waste and overproduction, was further brought to light in recent years, inciting the biggest names to design a concerted effort to reduce their environmental footprint. Nike — even before Space Hippie, Nike Grind, and Next Nature — was at the forefront of this movement with ACG, releasing a drove of eco-conscious offerings Chinelos the “Considered” umbrella. The Watercat was among one of the line-up’s many innovations, and after quite a few years since its debut, the model is finally being updated for 2023.
First revealed earlier today in a purple colorway, the Nike ACG Watercat+ is also expected to arrive in a Black/Orange style. Unlike its counterpart, this pair’s woven upper is done up in two tones, weaving the aforementioned colors together around the shoe in alternating fashion. The details elsewhere, such as the lace toggle rubber trims, are done up in matching hues, while the midsole contrasts with white sidewalls.
Enjoy an official look at this upcoming Watercat+ ahead. A release date has not yet been reported, so sit tight as we await further details.
In other news, the Sean Wotherspoon adidas Gazelle Hemp was just revealed by its womens.
