In the last week of January, 24 of the nation’s best boy’s and girl’s basketball players – 48 in total – were awarded the most prestigious honor in high school basketball, having been named McDonald’s All-Americans. While the late March festivities remain a month away, Cavaliers superstar Donovan Mitchell is reminiscing on his own 2015 selection with a specifically crafted colorway of the adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 in honor of the upcoming evening in Houston.
While the upcoming East and West jerseys have yet to be revealed, the on-court signature silhouette dawns on the East team’s synonymous blue base. Casting “Team Navy” across the pair’s base layer, the latter digitized Court render bright baby blue and jet-black accents whereas “Royal Blue” tones encompass the flat laces, sock liner and tongue trim. Additionally embarking on the vibrant blue assembly across the forefoot’s sole unit and mudguard, a marbled aesthetic infuses crisp white tones along the heel with a semi-translucent finish along the tread. While the game’s staple red tone is ink in seldom along the lace fastener and Mitchell’s name along the heel, the hindmost back half of the model renders a blank white departure while a concluding wave of yellow hues touches down along the tongue tabs and mid-foot shank.
As we await the pair’s expected March 15th release date, in the meantime enjoy official images of the adidas D.O.N. Issue #4 “McDonald’s All-American Game” below.
