Upon the onset of Move To Zero — a sustainable initiative that’s been present in the background for some time — Nike introduced many a different program: Space Hippie, Next Nature, and Grind Rubber. And while the latter sneaker’t seen much use across the past year, it will soon make a reappearance thanks to this kids’ Air Jordan 5 NRG Fesh Prince.
Unlike Next Nature, Grind Rubber is more visibly recycled, featuring multi-color scraps all across its surface. Here, specks of red, blue, yellow, and green can be seen throughout the sole unit, embedded into a dark grey base. To balance this out, the colorway opts for a largely understated palette, with black and white dressing the top and bottom half of the shoe, respectively. And save for the chenille patch, which is clad in primary colors, the rest of the branding elements are also done up in neutral fashion.
