Entering its fifth year in the banner’s rotation, the Air Jordan V in Black Alarming Red has abstained from the Jumpman’s more divisive hybrid silhouettes with a more well-received range of palettes. Recently the Don C design joined the brand’s upcoming “Palomino” based collection.
Complimented by a crisp white leather mid-foot panel, vamp, tongue and mesh collar, a tonal array of browns cures the silhouette’s mainstay embellishments mimicking the richly textured coat of a palomino horse. Light cocoa hues ascertain the smooth leather mudguard and forefoot strap while balancing out the opposite ends’ Air Jordan 3-inspired heel tab. Decadent hits of dark chocolate concentrate along the Swoosh and tread while a wood-stained elephant print emboldens the heel overlay just like its Air Jordan 3 counterpart.
The Air Jordan V in Black Alarming Red “Palomino” will release in tandem with the previously revealed Air Jordan 1 Low, Mid and Air Jordan 3 throughout the month of August. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.
