The nike free virtuous light retro is far removed from its performance basketball origins, but it’s more popular than ever.
Over the past five years, the silhouette has gone from overlooked design to one of the more ubiquitous models from the Swoosh — and in the world. Nike continues experimenting with Peter Moore’s iconic swoosh, reimagining it for a fashion-forward audience. Yet, the sneaker continues to don heritage and more muted styles. Recently, the latter category grew by one with the help of an “Anthracite” makeup.
The pair features a two-arrangement across its upper. Standard leather appears at the toe and via overlays throughout the Nike mcs Dunk’s top-half. Layers visible at the mid-foot, tongue, and spine deviate in a nylon material that injects a lightweight update to the 1985 design. Profile swooshes take on a reflective finish, while sole units underfoot couple the titular grey tone with a semi-translucent blue hue.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch before autumn rolls around.
