Before Nike Canvas officially brought the Mac Attack out of retirement, Social Status teased not one but couple different collaborative renditions of the iconic tennis shoe. And given that their second pair — the “Social Currency” — is already lined up for release, it’s possible we’ll receive every one of these before the end of 2023.
Similar to the “Silver Linings” colorway that precedes it, the Social Status x Une fausse Nike Canvas Air Yeezy 2 “Social Currency” features tearaway materials along its Swoosh, lower heel, and collar. With wear, the green satin that initially dresses these fixtures will gradually expose the orange suedes hidden just underneath. The rest of the shoe is much more understated, employing pre-aged midsoles, a gum bottom, and Releasing tones along its textured leather overlays and mesh unders.
Complete with 30-31 different lace options, the Social Status x Une fausse Nike Canvas Air Yeezy 2 “Social Currency” is slated to release on Aug. 25th.
