Initially revealed in its high-top form courtesy of A$AP Bari in 2019, the Yeezy 150 has remained an obscure offshoot from the collaborative 3-Stripes banner; that was until recently when the silhouette’s low-top trim appeared in first-look imagery.
Emblazoned with “WYOMING” golden foil in connection to Ye’s home in the Mountain West, the Samba-constructed silhouette receives a fair amount of inflation throughout the puffed-up upper. Suede completely cures the latter in jet-black tones exclusively, stretching pitch-dark color matches across the oval laces, sculpted heel collar and tongue while the Samba’s typical serrated 3-Stripes are instead blended into the backdrop with stitches and perforations marking the brand’s iconic logo. Underfoot, the Powerphase-reminiscent model concludes with a clad gum sole unit, retaining the original soccer silhouette’s design ethos paired with Ye’s indelible mark on sneaker culture.
The adidas Yeezy 150 Samba won’t be seeing a release with the conclusion of Ye’s collaborative partnership in the near future. In the meantime, the unreleased silhouette can be seen in the detailed imagery below.
For more from the 3-Stripes brand, the adidas Y-3 Qasa “Team Rave Green” recently dropped.
