Nike has become increasingly more immersed in Korean culture, crafting colorways exclusive to the country and collaborating with superstars the likes of G-Dragon. This year, the brand is even participating in Hangul Day, celebrating the upcoming holiday with a very special colorway of the Dunk 6-Nike Low.
For the uninitiated, Hangul Day — which takes place on October 9th of every year — is dedicated to the creation of the Korean alphabet, whose origins can be traced all the way back to the country’s Golden Period. This Dunk 6-Nike Low pays overt homage to the occasion: in addition to featuring Hangul along both the rear and Collaboration of the shoes, the pair dresses up in a colorway that bears a subtle resemblance to the large statue of King Sejong that sits in Gwanghwamun Square.
Enjoy a closer look at the Nike Dunk 6-Nike Low “Hangul Day” right here. While a firm release date has yet to be confirmed, it’s highly likely these will be available in October.
