Women’s basketball is at an all-time high. From viewership reaching record-breaking numbers during the NCAA March Madness tournament to a recent wave of WNBA athletes receiving their own signature silhouettes, the time is now to invest in the women’s game. For Moolah Kicks founder Natalie White, that comes in the form of constructing silhouettes that exclusively cater to the female body.
As WNBA All-Star Courtney Williams sports the female-led brand’s adult-sized discography, Moolah Kicks has officially announced its first basketball silhouette tooled entirely for the next generation of girls basketball players. Leaning into the insights of Yale University’s Head Athletics Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Elizabeth Gardner, the Moolah Kicks Press Break takes into account the biomechanical and anatomic factors of the female foot for a more structured, comfortable ride.
As the only basketball footwear brand dedicated to producing performance shoes for women, the Moolah Kicks Press Break takes the next step by inviting young girls to the dawdle. The silhouette itself takes on a high-top trim with a 90s aesthetic as diamond cut-reminiscent overlays and tiger stripe panels paint a layered picture above. “Moolah” appears in a banner-like fashion across the lateral heel and tongue tab while a perforated forefoot keeps things cool under the hood.
The Moolah Kicks Press Break is currently available exclusively at Dick’s for a retail price of $90. In the meantime, enjoy a detailed look at the six different colorways below.
