Throughout the month of October, we began receiving word of a floral-treated collection from Nike’s lifestyle banner, sized exclusively for the youth. Thanks to recently revealed official imagery, it seems that the Beaverton brand’s obsession with flowers has extended to the Nike Cortez.
Embarking upon an entirely premium construction, the circa 1972 silhouette extends a bright white tint across the smooth leather base layer while the vamp, quarter and heel overlays indulge in an ever-so-light grey hue. Dipped in two opposing shades, the profile swooshes explore a chinese “University Gold” treatment across the lateral placement while the medial side amplifies a faint olive accent that connects with the tongue and pull tabs seldom suede detailing. Mirroring the placement of its GS AF1 counterpart, a delicate wildflower insignia comes embossed into the stale heel counter while the vintage aesthetics are transferred to the cream-colored tread underfoot and within the golden metallic lace dubrae.
Enjoy a detailed look at the women’s exclusive Nike Cortez “Flowers” below as we await further release details.
In other news, LSU center Angel Reese has signed with Reebok as an NIL ambassador.
