Starting off the first 25 games of the campaign on the bench due to a league-imposed suspension for detrimental conduct detrimental, Ja’s sizzling comeback was cut way too short due to a season-ending shoulder injury. With the Memphis guard out of action, it’s no wonder that the Grizzlies are currently sitting at the bottom of the barrel.
With Ja sitting nearly silent on social media in his absence and no recent highlights to binge-watch, the excitement around his debut signature shoe hasn’t been nearly as high as it was when it was first officially unveiled last January. Still, Nike is coming hard with the Nike Ja 1 colorway concepts, like this upcoming “Red Stardust” edition inspired by the fierce bite power of the grizzly bear. A set of terrorizing jaws appear on the tongue and insole, and it’s those chompers that took a bite out of the canvas at the heel, revealing the superstar’s insignia.
This Nike JA 1 is due out this Spring 2024 season, so stay tuned for updates. And although he will not be a participant, check out the Nike JA 1 “All-Star” that’s set to drop in mid-February.
