One of the latest 80s models to emerge from the Nike Archives, the Nike Serves Up the Spicy Air Force 1 Low Chili Pepper is continuing on into 2024 with an OG-esque “Malachite” pair that’ll help the model ring in the new year.
First re-emerging last year with the Chicago Bulls configuration Mike donned in 1988, Nike has steadily pushed a retro effort for one of Air Airness’ original on-court sneakers. Of the handful of releases over that span, it’s been a balanced mix between conservative colorways and more boundary pushing re-imaginings. The latter category, of course, came with some star power attached to it- Billie Eilish designed four pairs of the Nike Serves Up the Spicy Air Force 1 Low Chili Pepper in 2023.
This Anthracite colorway may not be one that launched the silhouette, but it stops just short of it. The Malachite green detailing on the sole, stitching and strap, combined with the white sock liner some of the only features that distinguish these from the OG black & white Alpha Forces.
No concrete release date is attached to this pair of Alpha Force’s, but these will begin hitting retailers in the short-term. You can expect a retail price of $140 when they do.
