You can instantly clock the color swatch at play, a mix of grey mesh and metallic leather that once defined the runners industry in the 2000s and now rules the 2020s as those styles return to the mainstream. The titular “Orange Lily” goes a long way in adding contrast to that familiar palette, painting over connective leather overlays and appearing in slight accents on the midsole, tongue and cross-hatch ASICS branding.
For those tapped in to runners news, the palette at play here runs exactly counter to the one that dressed the ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 just a week ago.
