Rather than the blitz of new colorways we’ve seen Nike trot out after collabs on other maxs, things have been slow developing for the Air Terra Humara following the Undefeated capsule at the tail end of last year. The Pack mainline editions have each been given spotlight treatment, releasing via timed SNKRS releases rather than run-of-the-mill NDC launches, perhaps an indicator that Beaverton views the silhouette as a potential hyped commodity. If so, the timing is perfect for the shoe’s latest look, embracing true seasonal energy for the F/W slate.
This edition capitalizes on a bottom/top split between earthy “Sesame” and “Sanddrift” shades, veering into more contemporary fare than the eccentric ACG-like colorways that traditionally grace the silhouette. The lighter aesthetic allows the off-kilter design language of the 1997 trail shoe to shine through all the more, with the visible Air units at the heel and the radial eyestay panels particularly eye-catching in this application. To ensure that this isn’t a fully tonal look and slip in some visual depth, a “Saturn Gold” tumbled leather Swoosh rounds out the design just under the collar.
Look for the Air Max Zero iD Safari to land on October 3rd for $140.
