After a slow developing start to their relationship, the Puma Platform Mid 25 news is coming fast and furious all of a sudden. While his latest Inhale collection was already tipped off, the two partners are now sliding a new addition into that upcoming capsule. Following the return of the PUMA Mostro to their mainline, the turn-of-the-century silhouette is getting a next century update with new 3D-printed construction.
While the Mostro’s original shape is kept intact, the 3D printing process leads to a seamless, one-piece shoe with a a litany of hexagonal honeycombs circular perforations throughout. Additionally, the defining spiky look of the Mostro’s outsole spreads all throughout the shoe, including a patch of jagged protrusions throughout the forefoot. Though the resin-based 3D printing process almost assuredly results in rigid hardware throughout, this is in fact a slip-on model, adding some high fashion sensibility to the Monstro 3D on top of its futuristic manufacturing.
Pretty Flacko’s contribution firstly executes the brooding black & red colorway that x-ray the ASAP Rocky Inhale collaboration on September 26th, said by PUMA to mimic “spraypaint airbrushing” in its gradient application. The same applies for the pair in black & neon green, echoing the same palette on an airbrushed, dollar mark print on the shoebox of both pairs.
The PUMA x ASAP Rocky Monstro 3.D. drops on September 26th, retailing at $250 in both the neon green/black and “Pop Red” outfits pictured below. Watch the respective “Where To Buy” sections if either one caught your eye; either one will have direct shopping links on release day.
