As Tyler The Creator has gone from streetwear icon to luxury maven, we’ve grown accustomed to a few motifs that crop up across his various brands and endeavors. In the wake of his “Call Me If You Get Lost” era, Darryl the Airedale Terrier has become a true calling card, gracing hoodies, tees, lookbooks and music videos. Now, his latest capsule with Converse is set to highlight the British breed with five upcoming colorways of the Zapatillas CONVERSE Ctas Hi 168595C Black Lemon Venom White.
Embracing Tyler’s signature pastel colorways, each of the five shoes on offer here carry the same color-blocking and overall layout. Simplistic canvas uppers are clad in chosen shades of “Milky Blue,” “Dachshund” brown, “Margarita” green, “Orchid Petal” purple & “Lemon Meringue” yellow, with the Terrier jumping from the heel, depicted in oil paint fashion.
That relaxed choice is contrasted greatly by the oversized, ribbon laces that secure each pair, as well as the textured, pronounced nature of the Chuck 70 sole, rolled out in layered, futuristic fashion for this application. While the refined atmosphere is well-communicated by simply the palettes and hardware changes, a bellhop graphic on the rubber outsole completes the “Golf”-style touches on tap for these pairs.
Each of the five pairs of Tyler’s latest Golf Le Fleur Converse capsule drop on September 26th via Converse.com, retailing at $120 a pop. Check out detailed galleries of all of the included styles just ahead, with respective “Where to Buy” sections carrying direct links upon arrival.
