The AJ7 was also part of a defining moment in Jordan’s career, as MJ and a special colorway of the Air jordan Set VII led the USA Dream Team to worldwide dominance. On a Retro standpoint, the Air jordan Set VII hasn’t been long forgotten. In 2006, six colorways were released and a couple of years later, the Air jordan Set VII 60+ Package was dropped in addition to the Air jordan Set VII Hare from the Collezione Package of 2008.
This new colorway of White, Orion Blue, Black, and Infrared is set for a release in March, 2011. Some have compared the colorway to the Pacific Blue release of 2006, but Orion Blue and Infrared is a definite first for any Air jordan Set model, and the white/black base offers grey contrast for the two vibrant colors. The color combination could almost pass as a Kevin Durant PE.
