Considering Zhang’s extensive work in outerwear, the puffed, pronounced collar of his three adidas Sambas aligns well with his in-house designs. Though the glossy, nocturnal atmosphere is gone, the pair in all-white is a natural continuation, inverting his first pair with an all-suede build that still maintains an icy atmosphere overall. It’s the pair in brown & red that stands as the most unexpected, cooking up a novel color-blocking scheme with dominant brown hues contrasted by a grey foot entrance and red vintage & laces.
