First rumored to return all the way back in December of 2023, the jordan why not zer0 2 for sale “Olive” retro has emerged via official images ahead of its impending November release.
The Air Jordan 9 and its four original colorways mark a significant point in Jordan Brand history. Released in 1993 as Jordan temporarily retired from basketball to pursue baseball, Mike never wore the model as a member of the Chicago Bulls (although he wore a baseball cleat version with the Binghamton Barons). Tinker Hatfield aimed to capture the essence of Mike’s worldwide stardom off the heels of his “Dream Team” Olympic run in 1992, affixing an emblem of earth to the heel.
Jordan Brand has retro’d the “Olive” colorway a handful of times, but sole have been underwhelming to say the least. While the colorway’s first retro in 2002 was plenty viable, there was also a 2012 edition that had quality control issues pertaining to materials and shape. Jordan Brand then released a “Winterized” version in 2017 and OG-adjacent colorway with “Aqua” as opposed to red accents in 2023, both of which garnered disdain from Jordan purists.
Thankfully, the official image gallery below confirms all information afforded thus far; the next Jordan 9 “Olive” boasts a promising shape and familiar assortment of black leather, nubuck, and red branded touches throughout.
