With so many new skate shoes these days, it’s rare to find some with as cool a story as these. Etnies is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, which reminded CEO Pierre Andre Senizergues of his childhood exploits. Apparently, Pierre and his boys yelled “22 voila les flics!” (translate: get the hell out of here!) when it was time to flee from police who sought to end their skating soiree.
There will be 11 pairs of each VLF, and when you see them, you’ll want one of each. The classic skate shoe gets gussied up with premium leathers and suedes: each pair features one of the fine fabrics, which is contrasted with an animal print or two.
SneakerFreaker reports that they’re a Collette exclusive, but we don’t yet have a solid release date. Stay tuned as the drop draws nigh.
