Wale built quite a following in the mid 2000s and finally got his major label deal in 2008 when he signed to Interscope. 2009’s Attention Deficit piqued plenty of sneakerheads’ sixth sense when he was pictured turing for the album in a variety of heat, most notably the Nike Foamposite series and various rare Air Jordans. And though Wale moved to Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group less than two years later, his image remains relatively ‘Self Made’ and the man’s love for kicks persists. Here’s some video proof in the form of a behind the scenes look at MMG’s first single from their album by the same name set to drop later this month, one set in the desert wherein Wale is pictured with a pair of Air Jordan XI ‘Concords’ from the 2006 Defining Moments Package.
